It's a strange thing, sitting in front of the computer, playing Schindler's List and actually being mindful of time ticking by. It seems to be drifting by, more like.
Need some time to sit down and have a good quiet time by myself. No, not the mornings before school; nor, the evenings after school. These come with strings attached - of bracing myself up for the rigors of school, or of the mental burden of work. It should be in a setting of a clear horizon. Somewhat like having a monotonous, endless stretch of beach behind, and a clear, vessel-less expanse right ahead. To muse about human behavior, to strategise, to correct.
Just a little musing for the morning. On PC. On the complications of relationships, not just between the opposite gender, but just simply the intricate, complex web woven between every person I've had contact with. Yes, an oxymoron. Just simply that.
Why is it that some people just are so inclined towards being PC? As Aaron pointed out, there are actually 2 very different kinds. One, they are PC just because they are. And the other, they are PC knowing they are being PC, saying things people want to hear. Do you really want to hear a PC reply to your question? Isn't that what we've been doing in GP? Well, not really, but the subject did have some element of being PC. Perhaps it's just a clash of personality. Being PC knowing that you are being deliberately PC is, IMHO, dishonest, deceitful and disgusting. What are the consequences of telling the whole truth then? And what about those who, instead of resorting to warping their ideals and characters just to be PC, simply withold information? Maybe, just maybe, there is no need for individuality to come into the picture at all. Just what we've learnt in the books. It's no longer, "I feel ....". More like, "I'll have to weigh this and that. If it's this then blah .. if it's that then blah ..."
Relationships .. ah. These cannot be easily seen through. Just let be.
"You don't know what they will see - absolutely nothing, probably."
