Alright, someone - shoot me please.
I went out today with the intention of buying fish food ($2) and a couple of land hermit crabs ($8 ea).
I came back with a gigantic (my sisters screamed when they saw it) blue linckia starfish ($8), a tub of salt ($35) and omg ... a chevron tang. I daren't even put the price down in case mom sees it, or someone else spills the beans on me. Bottom line is, I've got to eat grass for the next 2 months.
The worst thing is, I've never liked chevron tangs. It's true, they are uncommon and pretty hard to come by. But the usual ones I see are drab brown. Nothing much to look at. This one, however, was just screaming at me to carry it home. Bright flourescent orange!!!
Some pics (not mine - mine shall come later) of other reefers' chevrons:
What mine looks like - the one I have is even more orange! *giggles in guilty glee*

What the usual ones look like

What the adults look like - quite a dramatic change, but still lovely nonetheless.
